WHAT WE HOLD ONTO

TIMELINE → Aug 2025 - Oct 2025
ROLE → Sole designer
Part of a collective exhibition “Character: Lived, Tested, and Exposed”, challenging us to give the word “character” a visual voice.
What We Hold Onto is a collection of 17 intimate conversations about our attachment for everyday objects, archived on a 10-foot “receipt of lived experience. It invites the viewer to slow down and find traces of themselves in others, and to discover the humor and tenderness in what we hold onto, though often forget.
I took inspiration from the form of the A-frame board as a monolith, an object defined by its permanence in a moving landscape. The last question sets the speculative scene: your world and memory as you know it is about to be erased. You are reawakened in a soft room with no indicators of your past life, except a capsule of three items.
What do you bring?
